It’s weird. I haven’t played my drums in years. Mainly because of the fact that I live in an NYC apartment and the noise would be absurd. So I’ve kept them in various locations/ corners over that time never really thinking about not playing, but recently my drumming has resurfaced thanks to being asked to play in “The Kirk Cameron Repertory Players Present: A Harry Potter Musical!” (CLICK HERE for more info on the musical).
I’ve been rehearsing and brushing the dust off my drumming skills and I’ve extremely excited about drumming again! It really got sparked today when at the end of rehearsal, Don Fanelli and I did a nice 6-7 min jam! It’s been awhile since I’ve done that… So when I got home, I decided to dig through the archives and listen to some of my music from my glory (high school) days.
This track is from a group called Chase The World, which was a group with myself on drums and my friend Chris Gillian-Schwartz on guitar, bass & vocals. We only made a 3 song EP, but even now I’m still proud of the songs we recorded. This was recorded in his garage on an 8 Track recorder. We recorded 3 songs in 3 nights (after school) and spent about only 2 hours on each song. They sound fairly polished for such a short turn around. Here’s one of the songs called “Walking to the Finish Line”.
Just thought I’d share,
